SAFETY COURSES IN WORKS IN CONFINED SPACES (VALID FOR RSPP, ASPP, WORKERS, SUPERVISORS AND MANAGERS UPDATES)

For confined space It is understood to be a limited and difficult to access environment, in which the risk of death or serious injury is very high, also due to the possible presence of chemicals or other hazardous conditions, such as lack of oxygen, gas or toxic vapors , fires or explosions.

A general definition of confined space is not present in the existing legislation, in the D.Lgs. 81/08 some types of confined spaces and works in confined spaces are exemplified: under Articles 66 and 121 of the D.Lgs. 81/08, in fact, among the works in suspicious environments of pollution include the work carried out in black wells, sewers, tunnels, chimneys, pits, tunnels, and in general in environments and containers, conductors, boilers and the like, where it is possible to release gas “I think it’s a good thing that we’re going to be able to do that,” he said.

D.P.R. 177/11, sets out the criteria for the qualification of companies operating in confined spaces or environments with suspected pollution and regulates the training, training and experience of insiders in confined spaces.

CIRT offers specific training courses in accordance with the State Agreements Regions of 21/12/11 and 7/7/16 for workers, workers in confined spaces, managers, managers, managers, managers and employees of the Prevention and Protection Service and for anyone takes care of the design and organization of the works in confined spaces including practical test of the confined spaces that will take place at our headquarters.

SAFETY COURSE IN WORKS IN CONFINED SPACES - THEORY + PRACTICE (VALID FOR RSPP UPDATE, ASPP, WORKERS, SUPERVISORS AND MANAGERS)

THEORY : CONFINED SPACES COURSE (8 HOURS)

D.P.R. 177/11 identifies the criteria for the qualification of companies and self-employed people operating in suspected environments of pollution or confined, under Article 6, paragraph 8, letter g), of the Legislative Decree 9 April 2008, n. 81. The aim of D.P.R. 177/11 is to stem the numerous and dramatic deaths at work in confined spaces, focusing on the professional technical suitability of companies operating in such workplaces and the need for a prior assessment of the work of the Risks.

The Course on Safety in Confined Spaces: Theory and practice aims to deepen the issue of safety in Jobs in Confined Spaces or suspected of pollution, from a regulatory/legislative point of view, giving a nod to the Identification and risk assessment, and illustrating technical measures, such as procedures, personal protective equipment, pollutant detection equipment for use in Confined Spaces and worker recovery systems in emergency. The course also includes a practical test of activities in confined spaces with simulation of the recovery of injured workers.

Recipients:

The Safe Work Course in Confined Spaces: Theory and practice is aimed at workers, managers, RSPP and ASPP who carry out and/or supervise work in confined spaces or with suspected pollution.

The Safe Course in Confined Spaces Work: Theory and Practice lasts 8 hours.

Contents of the Work course in Confined Spaces:

  • The D.P.R. 177/11 on the qualification of companies operating in Confined Spaces or Environments with suspected pollution
  • The ISPESL guide and the Permanent Advisory Commission’s illustrated manual on work in confined spaces
  • Identifying and assessing risks for activities in Confined Spaces
  • Work and emergency procedures in Confined Spaces and environments with suspected pollution
  • The work permit
  • Equipment for work in Confined Environments: oxygen and pollutant meters, technical characteristics and principles of use
  • Individual Protective Devices: Filtering Masks, Breathing, Workers Recovery Devices
  • Practical proof of access in a confined space and recovery of a worker
  • Final evaluation test.

The Safety course in Confined Spaces: Theory and practice aims to provide the fundamental elements for the identification, risk assessment, identification of safety measures to be taken in Confined Spaces or environments with suspected pollution, even with D.P.R. 177/11. The course provides a practical test of access and recovery of a worker in a confined space.

Documentation

During the “Safety course in Confined Spaces: Theory and Practice” the documentation used by the teacher will be provided.

Teaching methodology

The “Safety course in Confined Spaces Work: Theory and Practice” is carried out interactively, involving participants with examples and practical simulations. This, in addition to ensuring the best results in terms of training and knowledge transfer, allows to adapt the contents of the course to the needs of the same participants.

Training Room

CIRT has a specially designed “Training Room” equipped with the necessary equipment for carrying out practical tests that allow to simulate access to the Confined Spaces and the recovery of workers present within such Environments. In order to carry out the practical test it is recommended to wear comfortable and appropriate clothing, in particular it is mandatory to use protective shoes (safety), protective gloves and protective helmet.
